Owned and grown by Deri-Anne and Tim Wyatt, Angelica Organic Farm is a small-scale market (mixed veg) farm, with full organic certification (ACO Lic. No. 10966). We are also now embarking on becoming Demeter Biodynamic, using BD preps and principles.

Our farm began with our enjoyment of great local food and beverages - eating, drinking, serving and cooking with beautiful passionately grown (mainly organic) produce and our own love of organic gardening! There were and still are many lively discussions about food sovereignty and the beauty in creating such food and gathering others around a table to share good company and mindfully raised, nourishing, yummy produce.

As first generation farmers, we began our long held dream of organic farming in September 2006. What a ride it's been ever since!

Our farm is located in the heart of Central Victoria's 'foodie provinces',  on approximately 14 acres (of leased land) in Glenlyon, 10 minutes from Daylesford. Glenlyon sits near the Loddon River and lies in the midst of the mineral springs centre of Australia on rich red volcanic prime agricultural soils.

Angelica Organic Farm is the ultimate expression of our passion for good food, thoughtfully grown by excellent agriculture - high quality, in season foods, including many heirloom varieties, biologically and regeneratively grown, with love, skill and bursting with flavour. We aim to feed and hope to inspire as many people as we can to these ways of appreciating food and leaving a legacy of balanced, healthy agriculture.

Our farm consists of mixed cropping of seasonal vegetables and culinary herbs (mainly Nov. through Aug. approx.), heirloom tomatoes (Feb to April approx.),  purple hard neck garlic (typically early Dec harvest approx.) and occasionally sunflowers during summer.

Ours is not a ‘text book’ farming tale at all. For our first season, the summer of 2006-2007, with zero farming experience, we charged headlong into the middle of the worst drought Australia has seen in decades but we just had to get started! After all, we’d been talking about it for over ten years, time flies and we weren't getting any younger! We had carried out lots of research into organics and Biodynamics, did courses, had some home veggie and herb growing practice and lots of zeal for wanting to create an authentic and honest living, in harmony with nature, our community and ourselves. We aim to put back as much as we draw out of the earth and community and hope to leave both richer than we found them.

Our main focus now is to supply our Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) membership with weekly produce each Friday of each year’s ‘season’ (usu late Jan- mid Aug) at 4 hubs in Melbourne plus Woodend and Daylesford. We also hold 1 monthly Saturday (2nd Sat/mo) VFMA accredited farmers' market stall in Melbourne at Collingwood Children’s Farm, and supply quality  Melbourne and local provedore shops and restaurants.

We find ourselves among the band of artisan producers from the Daylesford – Macedon region committed to food sovereignty, the excellence and integrity of this region’s food, respect and fair remuneration for our growers, conserving the area's pristine water and diminishing agricultural land and maintaining direct relationships with you, the food consumer.

It's fair to say, that since becoming farmers, our world has enlarged and enriched in connection with some of the most amazing like minded and like hearted people - producers and eaters in general.
