I haven't bought garlic this way before, but have been really fed up with the Chinese/imported garlic all the supermarkets sell - dried out and goodness knows how many chemicals are on it. It usually completely dries out and is unusable within a week of purchasing. So this is a real treat to have beautiful, fresh garlic. Living in country Victoria unfortunately we do not have access to farmers' markets."

Unlike other organic garlic I've had, the cloves are a good size - larger than typically available, with excellent pungent flavour. They stored perfectly in the brown bag, or on the open shelf of the root cupboard and they remained firm to the last one. (We worked through the plait and the loose cloves over about 8 weeks).
