Angelica Organic Farm is now fully CERTIFIED ORGANIC - Lic. No.10966A with ACO.

We are now in our 5th commercial season of growing produce organically and what a journey it has been so far.
Four years have been through the worst drought on record and this last 6 months or so is one of the wettest for our area.
In that time, not only have we been on a steep learning curve but we've also managed to win a national award for our gorgeous gourmet garlic. Goes to show what can be achieved with a passion and plenty of 'elbow grease'.
A little over 2 months ago, we had our annual organic audit or inspection. An independent auditor (i.e. not an employee of our certifying body ACO) visits the farm for several hours and inspects the whole property, our plants, our soil, all of our farming methods and inputs from weed control to harvesting and storage. The auditor also carefully goes over our farm management plan and our record keeping pertaining to everything, including seed orders/sources, inputs, planting and harvesting schedules among others and interviews us. The inspectors also may make recommendations for any 'corrective actions' required, advises us on updates regarding record keeping requirements as well as suggestions sometimes for new or possibly better ways of doing things within what's allowed for organic certified farms. She/he then submits their report to Australian Certified Organic (ACO) to be assessed for our certification or certification renewal.

before...
So, now we can upgrade our farm logo and product labels, swapping our old 'in conversion' ACO Bud logo to our new full certification Bud logo and license number - 10966A - that's 'A' for 'A-grade'.

...NOW! :-)
It does require commitment, a high level of attention to detail and significant added expense to become organically certified and to maintain all the standards to retain our organic certification but we think it's worth it and are proud to be able to ensure our customers that we are the real deal and don't take short cuts in supporting their health and the health and sustainability of the earth and her resources.
Thanks for all your support along the way so far and here's to many more years of lovingly grown, natural produce to come! CHEERS :-)
